book review: LA Candy Series

LA Candy Series
by Lauren Conrad

L.A. Candy: Nineteen-year-old Jane Roberts moves to L.A. for a life-changing internship, inviting her BFF Scarlett Harp to join her on her SoCal adventure; but before the two girls have settled into their apartment, they’re asked to star in a reality series known as L.A. Candy and are thrust into fame, VIP treatment, and new friends – but sometimes these things come with a very high price tag attached.
Sweet Little Lies: An L.A. Candy Novel: It has taken some time, but girl-next-door-turned-reality-star Jane Roberts and her BFF Scarlett Harp are finally beginning to settle into their lives of celebrity…until racy photos of Jane are leaked to the tabloids. Looking for a shoulder to cry on, and finding that Scarlett is too mixed up in her own scandal involving an off-limits L.A. Candy crew member to help, Jane turns to co-star (and fame hungry) Madison Parker – only to find that Madison may not be as sweet and supportive as she pretends to be.

Sugar and Spice: An L.A. Candy Novel: L.A. Candy star Jane Roberts has had her brush with backstabbing frenemies, and is ready to start fresh – starting with her no boys, and no drama rule; therefore, while the tabloids are trying to stir up trouble between she and her co-star Madison Parker, she’s focusing on herself. That is, until her high school sweetheart, Caleb, and her L.A. crush, Braden, both show up on her doorstep looking for love. Jane feels as if her life is spiraling out of control; until she finally figures out the true definition of reality.

For quite some time I have been wanting to read this series, I finally got around to it! It definitely brought me back to my high school or college days on teenage drama novels. And Laguna Beach/The O.C. time of my life!!

Lauren Conrad wrote a really good book and the drama kept coming. Each chapter left you in a hook for the next chapter. They were all really easy reads, which got me through the series really fast. One of the characters really got on my nerves and she was the focus of the next series so I decided to next to continue with her books. Some people might really like the character but I think I am a little old for it haha!

Linking up with Heather!
