a day at the park

Spring! I love spring, it is my favorite time of the year because of the cooler weather. Texas has a very short spring so we definitely try to make the most of it. We decided to take Seth to the park one day (his first experience to the park) because it had warmed up slightly and it was actually sunny and beautiful. He loved the swing and the slides.

Valentine's Day mini shoot

Because my lack of blogging lately I have been slowly catching up on blogs. Earlier this year, my friend did a mini session for Valentine's Day. She offered a session with a handful of edits and a Valentine's Day card. She is really good and I am glad we live in the same city so we can have her take our photos and I can take theirs!!

Here are the pictures she took of Seth:

5 months - 2/25/14

I am guessing he is somewhere close to 18 or 19 pounds (he is a big boy!) and probably close to 27 inches.

Our little one is down to only three naps for at least an hour each. His morning naps are definitely his best and afternoons can sometimes be kind of hard. He seems to really be trying to drop his last nap but he just can't make it that long sometimes. At night he is sleeping from around 8 or 8:15 to about 7:15 or 7:30 the next morning. Some nights he cries a bit but this past few days have been great.

We began feeding him rice cereal right after his 4 month appointment and quickly transitioned to eating at night as well as morning. We are going to switch him to oatmeal cereal soon because he gets a bit constipated on rice cereal. We are also going to start introducing "real" food soon. I am still deciding between purees and actual food. What do you all suggest?

Little Man is in mostly 6 month clothing but some 3-6 month stuff still fits him. We are still going strong in Pampers Sensitive and he is up to size 3 now.

Our little guy has been making a "raspberry" noise all the time and he is definitely a talker.  He goes in circles when he is on his tummy and every once and a while he still rolls over. I think he rolls over when he is sick on being on his tummy instead of waiting for me to switch him to his back. He also is getting much closer to sitting up on his own. Still hasn't found his feet though, I think his big belly gets in the way haha!

Mommy is doing good but it is still so hard to be away from my sweet boy. I miss him every day and I can't wait to spend time with him when I get home. I have had a lot of obligations recently but spring break is coming up and I can't wait to spend days with just him!

Daddy is a great dad, I love seeing him and his little mini-me together. Seth absolutely adores him and laughs at him all the time. Seeing Paul as a dad is so amazing and it has made me fall more and more in love with him.

Going on this month:
Poor baby got RSV a couple weeks ago but was such a trooper. He started off one day with a 101 fever and was just not himself. We went to the doctor and they said it could get worse before it gets better but he bounced back much quicker than I was expecting.
