35 weeks

yep, so there is a weird flap thing going on with the dress but oh well!

How far along: 35 weeks

Baby size: a coconut
4.2 to 5.8 pounds and 17.2 to 18.7 inches long

Gender: BOY! Seth Randall

Maternity clothes: Same as I have been, most maternity and maxi dresses.

Sleep: Not too great. I am having hip pain on my right side and heartburn when I am on my left so I switch sides quite a bit.

Movement: He is definitely running out of room but he is still moving. Sometimes I can see him roll from side to side (or a part of his body roll), it is a crazy thing

Food cravings: nothing in particular... one night I wanted something to snack on and I couldn't decide on anything, I am very indecisive these days

Food aversions: still staying away from plain grilled chicken

What I miss: Sleep and my normal sized feet

Looking forward to: just getting things done around the house. Also we have some fun relaxing things planned this week.

Best Moment: my best friend had her little girl this weekend!!! I am so excited for them!

Pregnancy Symptoms: exhaustion, swelling, being uncomfortable

Stretch Marks/Belly Button: no stretch marks on my belly and the belly button is still in!

I don't think I ever shared a few of these pictures so I figured I would now...

Ahoy! Its a Boy! Shower thrown by family

My last shower before school started was hosted by my aunt, my mom's cousin (who I really consider an aunt), and my SIL. They threw a lovely shower for me for both Paul and I's families. Paul was able to come and see what the fuss was all about and see some of his family members at the same time! He also took some of the pictures for me, such a good husband!

Paul takes the most flattering pictures of me :(

Paul received a gift of his own for Seth... Texans gear!!
Oh and yes he has a backpack on, his new diaper bag!

My best friend had her baby!!

I received a text message in the middle of the night this morning from my best friend... her water broke! I didn't get it until a little later and by that time she had already gone to the hospital. She then preceded to text me most of the morning. At the end of church service, I glanced at my phone and saw that it was time for her to start pushing. About 30 minutes later I received the news that she had her baby!!! It made me so emotional knowing my best friend since 1st grade was a momma!!

Introducing Madison June, 7 lbs 2 oz, 18 3/4 inches.

Also, I've meaning to post these, but I took maternity pictures from Jenny and Dave a few weeks ago... here they are!

I am so happy for Jenny and Dave and I can't wait to meet Madison!!

Mexican fiesta couple's shower

One of my closet friends, Taylor, is getting married in November and some of her friends hosted her a couple's shower at a local Tex Mex restaurant. It was fun and the food was delicious. I can't wait for her wedding, they are such a cute couple!!

the happy couple

The Wacky Pack will be hosting her a shower later this fall! Can't wait for that!!

34 weeks

How far along: 34 weeks

Baby size: a butternut squash
4.2 to 5.8 pounds and 17.2 to 18.7 inches long

Gender: BOY! Seth Randall

Maternity clothes: Same as I have been, most maternity and maxi dresses, lots of yoga pants during the day. Started back at school this week so we will see if I can make my maternity clothes last through the month of work I will be having.

Sleep: Not too great, having a little bit of restless sleep because I just keep thinking about all I need to do before baby arrives or the labor and things like that. I am having hip pain on my right side and heartburn when I am on my left so I switch sides quite a bit.

Movement: Some days he doesn't move as much which starts to worry me but I drink or eat something really cold (throwback to freezer pops!) and usually that does the trick. He is just probably running out of room. I just get nervous between appointments I guess.

Food cravings: I really wanted a salad from Texas Roadhouse... date night!

Food aversions: still staying away from plain grilled chicken

What I miss: Sleep and my normal sized feet... going back to work and starting school next week, I know I won't see my normal feet for a while :(

Looking forward to: Getting most of the nursery stuff done, buying all the little things we still need, and getting ready for baby boy!

Best Moment: My family shower was this weekend!! We had our appointment today and it went well, great heartbeat. No news yet, but our next appointment is in two weeks.

Pregnancy Symptoms: exhaustion, some random pains, swelling, and just being uncomfortable

Stretch Marks/Belly Button: no stretch marks on my belly and the belly button is still in!

Bows and Bowties Shower

Our second shower was a great success! My best friend and I had a joint shower thrown by two of our close friends and they went with the theme bows and bowties! It was sooooo adorable!!! We had a great turn out and had a good time seeing everyone.

After the shower we also took a few pictures of Jenny and I together and they turned out really pretty. I am glad we were able to document our growing bellies during this time.

Maternity pictures part 1

A few weekends ago Paul and I met up with my college roommate, Emily, and she took some great maternity pictures. We worked out a swap to take each other's pictures and it worked out great. We are going to do a second session, a post on that to come later. But she did a great job and edited some for me and I edited more later.

Our next session happened over the weekend! Can't wait to see how those turned out!
